Get everyone in your office on LinkedIn. It’s free for a basic account and its networking abilities are huge. You can connect with past and present co-workers, people you know online, other professionals you’ve met along your career path and others. If you don’t know the person’s email address it can be kind of pricey to send a message through LinkedIn but can be worth it. And if you opt for one of the pro accounts you get X number of free in-network introductions and messages.
