This past Sunday I loaded up on schnitzel as my church, Bethany Lutheran in Naperville, hosted an Oktoberfest celebration. The event was a fundraiser for Issues ETC, a great confessional Lutheran radio show/podcast that was hosted by The Brothers of John the Steadfast, a group that is devoted to teaching men to read The Lutheran Confessions. There was also brats and kraut and potato saled and spaetzel, all leading up to a healthy dose of Tums later in the afternoon.
