The Hollywood Reporter is gearing up for the 38th annual Key Art Awards, being held this June, which reward the best in movie marketing asset creation. Anyone want to fly me out there and put me up for a few days, just let me know.

Rogue Pictures is launching a clothing line and more in an effort to build some brand loyalty for the studio, something it will then hopefully be able to leverage for its individual releases. It’s also creating an online social network for fans to connect with each other.

Lionsgate debuted a new piece of Crank 2’s promotional campaign – specifically a new poster – exclusively through Twitter. I was tempted to make a big deal about this but th realized it wasn’t that huge, at least not in the grand scheme of things. Good on them, but let’s build a sustainable social media strategy and then I’lll get more excited.

Disney is promising to plant a tree for every ticket bought for their new documentary Earth in the first week of its release.
