Go read the whole piece, which is very much in agreement with the point I’ve hit numerous times over the years, which is that journalists need to create their own audiences and connect with them on social media. With that sort of flexibility – which many well-meaning usage policies at news organizations would actually frown upon – has the potential to do great things not just for the individual writer but the the company/organization they work for, just like it does in any other industry.
